Tilt Stand Magnifier Instructions

Intended use

The COIL Illuminated Tilt Stand Magnifier is intended to assist people with visual impairment by magnifying text and objects so that they can be viewed more clearly.

The magnifier incorporates LED illumination and can be tilted to the left or right to provide a suitable viewing position.

The magnifier requires two AAA 1.5 V batteries. Batteries are not included.

Inserting or replacing the batteries

Push the battery cover upwards from the bottom to remove it.

Insert two AAA 1.5 V batteries, ensuring that the polarity of each battery matches the markings inside the battery compartment.

Replace the battery cover and push it down until it clicks securely into position.

Operating the LED illumination

Press the button once to switch on the higher level of illumination.

Press the button a second time to select the lower level of illumination.

Press the button a third time to switch the illumination off.

The illumination will switch off automatically after twenty minutes to conserve battery power.

Cleaning

Clean the housing with a slightly damp cloth.

Clean the lens carefully using a soft, lint-free cloth such as a glasses-cleaning cloth. For heavier marks such as fingerprints, use a lightly dampened cloth.

Do not use abrasive cleaners, alcohol-based solvents or cleaning solutions containing softening agents, as these may damage the lens.

Safety information

Important

Do not mix different types of batteries. Replace both batteries at the same time.
Incorrect use of batteries may result in leakage.
The LED light source is a sealed unit. Do not tamper with or remove it.
Do not insert objects into the casing, as this may damage the internal circuitry.
Keep the magnifier away from heat sources and direct sunlight.

Storage

When not in use, store the magnifier in a dry place at room temperature and away from heat sources.

Disposal

At the end of its useful life, dispose of the magnifier in accordance with applicable electrical and electronic waste requirements.
